Brew Guide: How to Make Coffee with an AeroPress ☕
Share
At Kafista, we believe great coffee doesn’t have to be complicated. The AeroPress is one of the easiest and most reliable ways to brew a smooth, rich cup at home — or anywhere. Here’s our go-to recipe using freshly roasted Kafista beans.
What You’ll Need
- 14g of Kafista coffee, freshly ground
- 200g of hot water (about 175°F / 80°C)
- AeroPress + paper filter
- Grinder
- Scale and timer (optional, but helpful!)
Step-by-Step Brewing
- Grind your coffee – Use a medium-fine grind, similar to table salt.
- Rinse your filter – Place a paper filter in the AeroPress cap and rinse it with hot water. This removes any paper flavor and warms your brewer.
- Add coffee – Place the AeroPress on your mug and pour in 14g of ground coffee.
- Start your timer & pour – Add 200g of hot water quickly, saturating all the grounds.
- Stir – Gently stir for about 10 seconds to ensure even extraction.
- Steep – Let it sit for 1 minute.
- Press – Insert the plunger and press slowly until you hear a gentle hiss.
- Enjoy your brew! – Sip it black to taste the unique notes of your Kafista roast or add milk for a smoother texture.
